1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BridgeTrade ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

BridgeTrade is a platform that connects homeowners with licensed contractors in Nova Scotia. We facilitate:

• Quote requests and contractor matching
• Communication between homeowners and contractors
• Secure payment processing
• Review and rating systems

BridgeTrade is a marketplace platform. We do not perform contracting work ourselves and are not a party to agreements between homeowners and contractors.

3. User Accounts

Registration

You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts to use BridgeTrade.

4. For Homeowners

• Provide accurate project descriptions and contact information
• Respond to contractor communications in a timely manner
• Honor agreements made with contractors through the platform
• Provide honest reviews based on actual experiences
• Pay for services as agreed with contractors

5. For Contractors

• Maintain valid licenses, insurance, and certifications
• Provide accurate quotes and honor quoted prices
• Complete work to professional standards
• Respond to leads and communications promptly
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Pay platform fees as agreed

Users may not:

• Provide false or misleading information
• Circumvent the platform to avoid fees
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Post fake reviews or manipulate ratings
• Use the platform for illegal purposes
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Scrape or collect user data without permission

7. Payments & Fees

For Homeowners: Using BridgeTrade to request quotes is free. Payment for contractor services is made directly to contractors or through our secure payment system.

For Contractors: Contractors pay platform fees as outlined in their service agreement. Fees may include subscription fees, lead fees, or transaction fees.

BridgeTrade is a platform that facilitates connections between homeowners and contractors. We are not responsible for:

• The quality, safety, or legality of contractor work
• Disputes between homeowners and contractors
• Contractor licensing or insurance status
• Accuracy of quotes or project timelines

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BridgeTrade's liability is limited to the fees paid to us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

9. Dispute Resolution

We encourage users to resolve disputes directly. If needed, BridgeTrade may offer mediation services. Any legal disputes will be governed by the laws of Nova Scotia, Canada.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
